Sixth Form Open Evening
We will be holding a Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday, November 29th from 6.30 to 8pm. This will be a fantastic opportunity for current and prospective Reading School students to consider their AS and A Level subject choices with the guidance of our expert teachers. No Appointment is necessary.
The evening will include brief talks from the Headmaster, Mr Robson, and from the Head of Sixth Form, Mr Harris. Staff from each department will also be available to give detailed guidance on the Sixth Form curriculum and the expectations of leading universities.
In 2012, Reading School students acheived excellent A Level results, placing the School eighth overall in the country for its results. 93% of students gained A* to B. Nineteen were offered a place at Oxbridge, and sixteen are now studying medicine or dentistry.
AS and A Level courses being offered from September 2013 are: Art and Design; Biology; Chemistry; Classical Civilisation; Classical Greek; Computer Science; Economics; English Language and Literature; English Literature; French; German; Geography; History; Latin; Mathematics; Further Mathematics; Music; Physical Education; Physics; and Theatre Studies.
