We hold a series of Open Days throughout the year. Both parents and prospective students are welcome to attend. However, it would be very much appreciated if younger siblings did not accompany parents.
Please note that we are not able to accommodate requests for individual visits for day pupils due to the large volume of requests made.
Dates for our next Open Days are as follows: -
Open Evening for Prospective Day and Boarding Students - Thursday 27th April 2017
3.00pm - 7.30pm School open to visitors.
3.00pm arranged tours of the School. The last tour will leave at 7.00pm.
3.30pm first talk by Headmaster. Further talks will follow at 4.30pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
No appointment is necessary.
Please note there will be no parking available on the School site on this occasion.
This Open Evening is aimed at those parents wishing to register their son for the Year 7 entrance test for entry in 2018 only. Due to the large volume of visitors on this evening, you are requested to make alternative arrangements for younger children.
Boarding Open Days
We have Boarding Open Days planned for:
Thursday 4th October 2016 starting at 6.00pm
Saturday 4th March 2017 starting at 10.00am
Saturday 20th May 2017 starting at 10.00am
There will be an opportunity to meet the Headmaster and Boarding Staff, and to tour the School and Boarding Houses
If you would like to visit School on either of these days please contact the Admissions Office to make an appointment.
Sixth Form Open Evening
There will be a Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 1st December 2016 from 6.30pm - 8.00pm for internal and external students.
This evening will provide an opportunity to meet subject staff and have a tour of the school. In addition, you will hear from the Deputy Headmaster and Head of Sixth Form, Mr Evans regarding the Sixth Form admissions process, curriculum options and life in the Sixth Form at Reading School.
The talks will take place at 6.30pm, 7.00pm and 7.30pm respectively in Big School.
