ADMISSIONS POLICIES FOR ENTRY IN 2018 - CONSULTATION
The Governing Body of Reading School has agreed its policies for 2018 entry for Year 7 Boarding, Sixth Form and Non Routine admissions.  These are published below:

A consultation period has now commenced for proposed changes to Year 7 admissions policy for Day applicants for 2018 entry. The policy can be found below with the change highlighted within the policy.  The change the Governing Body is proposing is in regard to moving into the designated area.  The new date that is proposed for moving into the designated area is 31st August 2017.

The consultation seeks views on the proposed changes.  If you wish to comment on the proposed policy, please direct your comments in the first instance to: govsclerk@reading-school.co.uk.  The consultation period will run from 1st December 2016 and will end on 12th January 2017.  This is the statutory 6 weeks required for consultation. 
 
ADMISSIONS POLICIES FOR ENTRY IN 2017
At the Governors Admissions Committee which met on 25th January 2016, following consultation, they agreed to cease Year 9 entry.  
 
The following policies have been agreed for 2017 entry:

Non Routine Admissions Policy 2017
Suitability for Boarding Form
 
Any objections to these arrangements must be made to the Schools Adjudicator.  Objections to admission arrangements must be referred to the Adjudicator by 15th May 2016.  

 

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT AT THE FULL GOVERNING BODY MEETING IN JULY 2015, THE GOVERNORS AGREED TO INCREASE ITS PUPIL ADMISSION NUMBER (PAN) FOR YEAR 7 ENTRY IN 2016 FROM 124 TO 150.
