INSPIRE LECTURE - OBESITY: PROBLEMS, PERSPECTIVES & PRESENT SOLUTIONS

Dr Sasindran Ramar is a consultant surgeon at Kings College Hospital, London, with a special interest in obesity surgery. He will give a talk on the problems obesity poses for the individual and the NHS, as well as surgical solutions and their risks and benefits.

The talk will take place on Monday 26th November 2018 at 15:30 in the Lecture Theatre.

This talk is ideal for aspiring medics in Year 10-13. Pupils, parents and staff are also welcome.

Please note that there may be images/footage of surgery which may not be for the faint-hearted.

PHARMACOLOGY INSPIRE LECTURE SERIES

We are delighted to inform you that the Biology Department has arranged a series of Inspire lecturers in partnership with the University of Reading between the 3rd and 13th December 2018.

These lectures are for Year 9-13 pupils ONLY.

All lectures will take place after-school from 15:30-16:30 in the Lecture Theatre.
