Class of 2014 return, reconnect and reengage at 5-year reunion
Reading School alumni return to Reading School just 5 years on from leaving.
5 years seems like a very short time but we always welcome our alumni to visit the school and catch up with old friends and former teachers and re-acquaint over a lunch buffet. We were honoured to host our first 5-year reunion for the Class of 2014 earlier this year in June.
They were amazed at the changes and development of the school in such a short space of time as they toured new additions to the school like the Phillip Mitchell Science Building.
Here are some things they had to say about the day:
“The event was a great way to meet with different members of the year group, many of whom I hadn't seen since the end of school. It was also a nice way to see all the recent developments to the school site itself.”
“The 2014 reunion was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and hear about the developments at Reading School since we left. It allowed us to reconnect with the school and learn about upcoming events which I am sure many will now be attending.”
Many thanks to Alumni Ambassador Chris Warby (OR 2007-2014) who helped the Society Office organise the reunion. Also, a special thanks to Mr K Brown for preparing the memorobilia from their cohort and Mr N Holt for supplying the bar.
If you (or someone you know) graduated in one of these classes and are interested in volunteering to help plan reunion activities, contact classmates and encourage attendance, please contact Piatrice at firstname.lastname@example.org .
