We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, suitably qualified Physics Technician to provide effective support to a thriving curriculum team delivering Physics. Physics is taught separately from entry in Year 7 and is compulsory to Year 11. It is a highly popular A Level subject in the Sixth Form with four sets in both Year 12 and Year 13. Students are extremely motivated with a significant proportion moving on to study Physics and Engineering at top universities.
This critical role will involve supporting Physics Teachers in delivering experimental lessons and general Physics administration.
Good communication and organisational skills together with a genuine interest in Science and experience using Information Technology is required. School laboratory experience would be beneficial, and training will be provided as required.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a reliable and hardworking Site Controller to join the Estates team. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to carry out high standards of premises care with a positive attitude to health and safety for the whole school community and a solution focused outlook.
The Site Controller is responsible for the supervision of the overall security of the site, including dealing with out-of-hours emergencies. Applicants are expected to evidence good DIY skills, initiative, common sense and the ability to work independently. Good verbal and written communication skills are also required together with physical fitness as some lifting is required.
Hours of work are Monday, Wednesday 10:30-18:30 and Friday 10:30-18:00, Tuesday and Thursday 07:00-15:00, 30 minute break include. Ability to offer occasional additional flexibility in hours to meet the needs of the school would be an advantage. Visits to the school are welcome.
