BOARDING LAUNDERER

15 hours per week, term time only

Grade RG1 Points 6 - 11

Actual Annual Salary: £5123-5394

In response to a review of services we wish to appoint a part-time Boarding Launderer to assist our current full time postholder.  The role will entail washing, ironing and distribution of boys’ laundry on a daily basis. 

We are looking for a self motivated individual with the ability to work alone and without close supervision.  Prior experience of cleaning or laundry services is desired.

TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

Required for Easter 2018 or September 2018

We are looking for a Maths teacher who wants to teach motivated students in a positive, inspiring environment.  The Mathematics department at Reading School believes in nurturing students to develop the skills, knowledge and qualities in order to excel.  The Mathematics team is made up of dedicated, reflective professionals.  Our Maths Progress 8 score is outstanding and Maths is the most popular subject in the sixth form.

 

The ability to teach A Level Mathematics would be an advantage.  The Mathematics department is very well resourced and we offer an innovative and rigorous curriculum at all Key Stages. We want the successful applicant to be willing to embrace departmental ethos of collaboration, innovation and dedication to our students.

TWO TEACHERS OF ECONOMICS

Required for September 2018

The governors of Reading School wish to appoint passionate, well-qualified and experienced Teachers of Economics. A degree in Economics and excellent subject knowledge is essential. Reading School is a selective boys’ state school located in central Reading.

The successful applicant must be skilled at designing and delivering innovative and engaging lessons to academically able students at GCSE and A Level in Economics and will have responsibility for teaching Economics across KS3 and KS4. They would also be expected to contribute to the delivery of history at KS3 and KS4, so relevant experience of teaching History at (at least) KS3 is also essential.

 

You will join a successful school, working in a department which attracts high student uptake at both Key Stage 4 and in the Sixth Form. In September 2017, over 90% of Economics students at Reading School gained A*-B grades at A Level and 85% gained A*-A grades at GCSE. The subject is thriving at our School and has a reputation for academic excellence. This is a full time post commencing in September 2018.
