Terry Follen
I was elected as a parent governor of Reading School in December 2017.
I am a keen advocate of the grammar school educational initiative and the development opportunities it brings to academically gifted children. I am an ex-grammar school pupil, as are my two grown-up daughters and my son is currently at Reading School. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and enjoyed a long career as a finance executive in the energy industry working in the UK, Trinidad, India, Russia and the Yemen.
I have experience in financial matters, negotiation, project management, procurement, audit, investment analysis, commercial contacts and corporate governance. Following early retirement in 2012 I am free to pursue my interests and hobbies.
