The reason I work in Education is people; people matter, individuals are important and strong communities are invaluable. I am proud to be a member of the Reading School community and am always seeking opportunities to further contribute and deepen my commitment. At the start of my third year at Reading School I was appointed Associate Staff governor. I started my career in Education eight years ago in a Further Education college working with young adults with learning disabilities and/or difficulties. Since then I have held a number of positions encompassing, but not limited to, the following areas: pastoral care, mentoring, Safeguarding Officer responsibilities, event planning, creation and delivery of workshops on topics such as Sensitive Language, Sexual Health, Mental Health and Consent. I believe that increasing opportunity, facilitating collaboration and nurturing existing working relationships as well as cultivating new ones is key to realising our potential both as individuals and as a collective. I look forward the next chapter of my career here at Reading School.
