I have had the privilege of serving as a governor at Reading School since November 2008, firstly as an elected parent governor, and, since 2016, as a governor appointed by the Academy Trust. I have, in total, served for some 20 years as a governor in a number of different local schools. I live locally and until my retirement in 2016 worked as a local government accountant.
As well as sitting on each of the main committees, I chair the Finance, Admissions and Staff Pay & Performance Committees. In addition, I am vice-chair of the Governing Body and link governor for Geography.
