Our annual special event took place on Tuesday 1 July 2025, where we welcomed families into the Reading School Community while celebrating intergenerational bonds.

Our Year 7s invited their grandparents and family members to Reading School and acted as ambassadors to share what the life of the school looks like during a typical day. From observing microorganisms under the telescope to Computer Programming in Python – grandparents and families spent their day on a carousal of interactive and engaging activities alongside their grandchildren.

When generations come together, learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom - it happens at every lunch table, in every corridor, and in every shared memory. Thank you to all who joined us today to celebrate, and for making our day even brighter and our hearts lighter.
