Speech Day took place on Tuesday 23 June and celebrated the achievements of students across Years 7 to 10, recognising excellence not only in academic subjects but also in sport, music, service and character.
Throughout the ceremony, students, parents, staff, governors, guests and alumni reflected on the values that define a Reading School education. Guest speakers John Oldland (OR 1954-1961), Nicholas Oldland (OR 1988-1990) and Jeremy Oldland (OR 1990-1992) encouraged students to embrace every opportunity, persevere through challenges and value kindness above all else, while the Headmaster reminded the audience that success is built through curiosity, effort and character rather than results alone.
It was a fitting celebration of the talents, commitment and community spirit that continue to shape life at Reading School.
