Last Tuesday, 18 November, our aspiring Year 7 musicians filled Big School with music—from Vivaldi and Burgmüller to Bon Jovi and their own original compositions. Each performance showcased the confidence, creativity and focus that flourish when young people learn a musical instrument. Music gives them a powerful way to express themselves and discover what they’re capable of.

A heartfelt thank you to all our parents and families for supporting the event. Your presence, encouragement and applause mean more than you know. For a child, looking up and seeing their parents, staff and school community watching, listening and celebrating them builds confidence, pride and a strong sense of belonging. These moments stay with them.

And of course, well done to every Year 7 performer—your dedication and courage truly shone on stage.
